• This means that the coil frosts continually when in use and it must be removed at regular intervals either manually or automatically for the most efficient operation.
• It may be noted that as the frost grows in thickness, the coil or cooling efficiency decreases until the ice and frost are removed.
• The evaporators in household refrigerators, bare pipe coils in storage boxes, and low-temperature evaporators fall under the frosting evaporators.
