Let P1 and P2 be the power output of the two alternators, and let R1 and R2 be their respective speed regulations. The total load supplied by the two alternators is given as:

Total Load = P1 + P2 = 80 MW

We can express the power output of each alternator as:

P1 = (Total Load) * (MVA rating of Alternator 1) / (MVA rating of Alternator 1 + MVA rating of Alternator 2)

P2 = (Total Load) * (MVA rating of Alternator 2) / (MVA rating of Alternator 1 + MVA rating of Alternator 2)

Substituting the given values, we get:

P1 = (80 MW) * (40 MVA) / (40 MVA + 60 MVA) = 32 MW

P2 = (80 MW) * (60 MVA) / (40 MVA + 60 MVA) = 48 MW
