• When the ohmmeter is first connected to the capacitor, the capacitor acts as a short circuit and allows current to flow through it.
• This results in the ohmmeter indicating a low resistance value. However, as the capacitor charges up to its full voltage, the current flow decreases, and the ohmmeter reading gradually increases until it reaches a very high value.
• If the ohmmeter indicates a very high resistance value after some time, then it means that the capacitor is not leaky and is in good condition.
• Therefore, the conclusion that can be drawn is that the capacitor is functioning correctly and is suitable for use in a circuit.
