The total emf induced in a series-connected set of coils is given by:

Eseries = N * E

The phasor sum of two phasors with the same magnitude and a phase difference of ? is given by:

Esum = 2 * E * sin(?/2)

Hence, the emf induced in the right coils in series is:

Eright = E_series * sin(?/2) = N * E * sin(?/2)

Substituting the given values, we get:

Eright = 8 * 80 * sin(30°/2) = 265.7 V (approx)
