The displacement power factor represents the phase difference between the voltage and current waveforms of the rectifier.

In the case of a fully controlled rectifier, the displacement power factor is equal to cos(α),

where

α is the firing angle of the rectifier.

For α = 30°, we have cos(α) = cos(30°) = 3/√2.
