• Taylor's concept of functional foremanship 1s a system comprising of eight different supervisors discharging different functions.
• Every work in the organization is directly connected with these supervisors.
• These are the Route clerk, instruction card clerk, time and cost clerk, shop disciplinarian, gang boss, speed boss, repair boss, and inspector.

Advantages: Specialisation, increased efficiency, limited duties, the scope of expansion, flexibility.

Disadvantages: Conflict in authority, difficulty in pinpointing responsibility, expensive, discipline in slackened, lack of coordination
