A series capacitive compensation of 30% is added to the line. We need to find the SIL of the compensated transmission line.

First, we calculate the degree of series compensation:

γ = Xse / XLse = 0.3

where Xse is the series reactance of the compensating capacitor and XLse is the inductive reactance of the uncompensated line.

Next, we use the formula for the SIL of the compensated transmission line:
