According to principle of transmissibility of forces, the effect of a force upon a body is
Principle of Transmissibility
This principle states that the condition of equilibrium or of motion of a rigid body will remain unchanged if a force acting at a given point of the rigid body is replaced by a force of the same magnitude and same direction, but acting at a different point, provided that the two forces have the same line of action.
It can also be stated: "The point of application of a force may be transmitted along its line of action without changing the effect of the force on the rigid body". The principle is also called the theorem of transmissibility of a force.
According to principle of transmissibility of forces, the effect of a force upon a body is the same at every point in its line of action.
